Potty training update

Stephen is continuing to progress with his potty training! He isn't "telling" us yet when he has to go, but he is starting to give us verbal cues, which for a kid who doesn't communicate well to begin with, is a HUGE deal! He had very few accidents today, and used the potty pretty frequently. We were even able to go for a short walk down the street while Stephen was in his underwear, and it was a total success. Stephen is acutely aware of the fact that he isn't wearing a diaper anymore, and he was VEERRRRRRRRY nervous to go out of the house, and away from the safety of his potty, but he did it.

As my friend Carol said to me today, "What a ton of milestones that boy has torn up!" He may be a little behind with his speech, and a little bit with some of his motor skills, and Stephen may not have figured out how to transition from climbing up to the platform to going DOWN his slide, but he is hitting all of the other balls out of the park. We are incredibly proud of our little bear!
